Nine teams signed up for the flag football tournament, with each team's entry fee of $75 ($100 without pre-registration) going to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the 33 members of the sorority are proud to be able to contribute, according to junior Jaimie Hobbs, Liberal Arts.
"We have all five of the nationally-sanctioned campus fraternities here today," she said.
The two women's teams competed separately from the men.
"We tried doing co-ed games one year, but it didn't really work," Hobbs said.
Though each game only lasted for two 15-minute periods, the scoring seemed to be high.
Right, sophomore Vincent Long, political science, broke wide for another scoring run.
