Sept. 7

9:13 a.m. Illness - A student reported having trouble breathing and was transported from 4825 Troost Ave. to the hospital by MAST ambulance for treatment.

9:13 p.m. Suspicious person - Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person threatening a university staff member. The incident occurred at the Oak Street Parking Structure at 50th and Oak streets.

Sept. 9

3:35 p.m. Vehicular accident - A driver opened his vehicle door, striking and breaking the side view mirror of another vehicle. The incident occurred at UMKC Parking Area 3 on the north side of the Miller Nichols Library.

Sept. 10

8:59 a.m. Chemical spill - Officers responded to a report of a chemical spill at the General Services Building. Environmental Health and Safety responded to clean up the spill. It was later confirmed the substance was non-hazardous.

5 p.m. Information - Officers responded to a report of a student being followed by an unknown suspect at 50th and Oak streets.

7:30 p.m. Assault - A student reported being touched in an inappropriate manner. The incident occurred between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at Cherry Street Hall.
Sept. 11

10:55 p.m. Burglary - A student reported leaving her room unlocked and returning to find her wallet missing. The wallet contained her bank cards, US currency, UMKC ID, driver's license and insurance cards. The incident occurred between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Cherry Street Hall.

10:55 p.m. Burglary - A student reported her debit card missing and several unauthorized charges on her bank statement. The incident occurred between 3 p.m. Aug. 31 and 3 p.m. Sept. 4 at Cherry Street Hall.

Sept. 12

6:10 p.m. Threat - A student reported being threatened by the suspect at the Swinney Recreation Center.

8:04 p.m. Injury - A student reported that while playing soccer at the Swinney Recreation Center, he bumped heads with another player and cut his chin.

Sept. 13

6:08 p.m. Illness - Officers responded to a report of a student having a seizure at Flarsheim Hall. The victim was transported by MAST to the hospital for treatment.
