Kansas City's Country Club Plaza is the first place in the globe to feature a new public art exhibit. English artist Mackenzie Thorpe's five 15-foot-high sculptures were unveiled in a ceremony last Saturday on the Plaza. Thorpe uses hearts in his artwork to convey a message of love and happiness.
The five sculptures were placed adjacent to the JC Nichols Fountain stretching across Mill Creek Park. In December, Thorpe's exhibit, which also features paintings and other artwork, will move to another location. - Brittany Lane
