In the online edition of "The Simpsonian" a disgruntled Simpson College student commented on an article on Student Government Association budget allocations. The student was irritated on how funds were allocated for the student groups and let their feelings be heard loud and clear, without ever attempting to approach members of SGA and talk to the people who could possibly remedy the situation.

The wild turkey has represented Thanksgiving for years. Either being shot out in the heavy woods or found frozen in the supermarket, the majority of American families consume this domestic fowl.
However, in the 1700's one person wanted to make the turkey more than just what is consumed on Thanksgiving Day.

As the editor of the Collegio, I am a casual observer of our "competition." I enjoy reading other student newspapers from across the region to see what issues are facing students outside of PSU. This can often be a source of inspiration for me and it also serves as a reflection of our performance, a measuring stick if you will.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone else noticed the extensive and numerous sewage spills into our waterways within just the past few months, let alone the past year?
To put a number to it, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) has reported hundreds of millions of gallons of raw sewage spilled into Missouri's waterways in the past year.

Each and Every year more people get in trouble for hazing of any sort. There are strict rules that govern what upperclassmen can have their new members do.
Over the years National chapters of every student organization have put forth rules that outline exactly what and what is not ethical.

When we're kids, we spend our childhood wishing we could be older. We look up to our older siblings and we dress like them, talk like them and especially act like them. Whatever they do, we do too because that's what's "cool" when you're older. When we have younger siblings, we try to act more grown up so our parents will let us help take care of them. Although we spend most of our time playing, we're always trying to be a "big kid."

Each day, we all use services provided to us by Drury University.
These services are put into place to make our lives go a little more smoothly and to assist us in our Drury experience.
Yet now it seems like each time I go into a place that is supposed to help me, I encounter rudeness, bitterness, laziness, and incompetence.

I've lived inside the walls of SBU for nearly four years. Now, with T-minus 33 days and counting till my departure, you can imagine the thoughts of nostalgia rolling around in my brain.
To whoever picks this up and is reading the black ink, I want to offer you something.

The reported gang rape of a 15-year-old girl at a Richmond, Va., homecoming dance left many of us disgusted. Police now say that seven people participated in the assault and as many as 10 to 15 watched while taking pictures and video taping. For 2.5 hours, no one alerted the police.

If choosing a major is the first real hurdle of college, I've been failing for almost six years now.
I usually just laugh when someone asks me what my major is: "Computer science, mathematics and philosophy, with minors in mass communication and physics." Sometimes, I will only name one or two of the majors so I can dodge the dumbfounded expressions and the logical follow-up question: "Why?"
Let me try to explain.

Last Saturday, after at least four different versions and seemingly endless closed-door negotiations, the House of Representatives finally unveiled the product of its collective genius.
H.R. 3962 is a 2,000 page healthcare "reform" monstrosity. For some perspective, Tolstoy's epic "War and Peace" is only about 1,500 pages, Ayn Rand's classic "Atlas Shrugged" is a tidy 1,000 and most versions of the King James Bible run half the length of this bill.

In every major civilization there have been what we refer to as "rites of passage."
While in modern day America these activities have far departed the hunter/warrior rituals of past, these "rites of passage" are still very much alive and are part of most every organization worth belonging too.
